Growth Performance, Physiological Responses, and Histoarchitectural Changes in Juvenile Pangasianodon hypophthalmus under Different Environmental Salinities

چکیده
Environmental salinity is an important abiotic factor that directly affects the growth, metabolism, osmoregulatory processes, and physiological performance of fish. Herein, effects long-term stress on juvenile Pangasianodon hypophthalmus have been evaluated. Fish were allotted in five triplicate groups exposed to different salinities (0.0, 4.0, 8.0, 12.0, 16.0‰) for 56 days. After exposure, final weight, weight gain percent, specific growth rate significantly decreased reared 8‰, 12‰, 16‰ salinities. The feed intake was also reduced raised water 12‰ compared with other groups. Conversely, conversion ratio values increased between 8‰ lowest survival rates observed at (91.1% 77.8%, respectively). Body moisture (%) decreased, while crude protein lipids ranging from 8.0‰ 16.0‰. Stress biomarkers (such as blood glucose, lactate, cortisol levels) oxidative indicators carbonyl proteins, malondialdehyde (MDA), superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT), glutathione peroxidase (GPX)) control group, their highest levels group salinity. histoarchitectural changes among relation level. Moreover, scored histopathological lesions showed a significant increase control, scores reported (12‰ 16‰). Based fitting curves, present study suggests P. could tolerate up no mortalities; however, 4‰ more suitable little impact histology responses.

Growth performance and some haematological parameters of ornamental striped catfish (Pangasianodon hypophthalmus) fed on dietary nucleotide
The effects of dietary nucleotide (NT) on growth performance and some haematological parameters of striped catfish (Pangasianodon hypophthalmus) were investigated. Different levels of the NT (0, 0.25, 0.5, 0.75, 1%) in the diet were used for 10 weeks starting on the fish weighted (1.52 ± 0.11 g). The results showed that NT supplementations did not improve final weight, weight gain, food conserv...
متن کاملIsolation, identification, and characterization of Aeromonas hydrophila from juvenile farmed pangasius (Pangasianodon hypophthalmus)
Bacterial samples had been isolated from clinically detected diseased juvenile Pangasius, collected from Mymensingh, Bangladesh. Primarily, the isolates were found as Gram-negative, motile, oxidase-positive, fermentative, and O/129 resistant Aeromonas bacteria. The species was exposed as Aeromonas hydrophila from esculin hydrolysis test. Ten isolates of A. hydrophila were identified from eye le...

متن کاملGrowth, Physiological Responses and Secondary Metabolite Production in Pinellia Ternata under Different Light Intensities
Pinellia ternate (Thunb.) Breit (Araceae) is a shade-tolerant perennial medicinal plant, but its optimum light intensity is not sufficiently known. Hence, the influence of light intensity on the physiological responses, growth and secondary metabolic products in P. ternata under four light conditions (15%, 25%, 45% and 100% of full sunlight) in a greenhouse were to be investigated. The results ...
